About Alfoxton Dog Centre
We understand dogs and have created an environment that allows dogs to be dogs.
Alfoxton is situated on 16 acres of rolling hills and bushland, located approximately 30 minutes north of Epping and conveniently located near the Hume Highway.
Our facilities include an all-weather dog training arena, an activity field, and a Dock Dogs dam, as well as a large off-street parking area and handicapped accessible toilets.
Alfoxton Dog Centre was established as a Domestic Animal business in 1993 (Registration No. DAB001 – Shire of Mitchell).

About Anne
Anne started obedience training with her own dog when she was just a kid way back in 1974. By 1980 she was actively involved with the German Shepherd Club, initially just showing and training, then joining the Shepherd News Editorial Committee as well as working with the Demonstration Team. Breeding a few litters of German Shepherd dogs increased her insight into the importance of good temperament in the raising and training of dogs.
By 1993, Anne and Leon added human babies to the family and it was the start of a new era. Anne was now home more and had the opportunity to expand her skills with animals, so she began offering Training Classes at Wandong to help local families train their own dogs. Over the years she has seen many dogs go through her program.
In 1998 Anne saw the need to expand and offer boarding facilities for dogs and cats. Rows of concrete and mesh did not fit in with her philosophy, so an alternative layout had to be designed. She achieved the required approval through Council for a spacious and social Pets Bed & Breakfast. Hence the mudbrick kennels and cattery were established.
By 2005, the kennels and training school were in full swing and Anne renewed her interest in breeding dogs. Having worked with many different breeds over the years, she was amazed at how great the Australian Shepherd fitted in with a family lifestyle. In 2007 her first litter of Aussies arrived and they are now firmly entrenched in her life.
Anne is a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP-CDT) and the Association of Pet Dog Trainers of Australia (APDT).
